 Lawrence Nyken

Born in Liberia Africa, Lawrence competed on the highest level in his home country while participating on the Liberian National Team in 1998.  He moved to the states to attend Lindsey Wilson College where he was a member of the NAIA National Championship Team.  He graduated with a Bachelors in Human Services and Mental Health Counseling and is pursuing a degree in Finance from WKU.  Lawrence currently holds a USSF "D" coaching license and is the head Barren County High School Boys Soccer Coach.  He is also coaching within the Kentucky State Associations Olympic Development Program and is the head coach for SKY futbol club's u14 boys select team.

Ryan Simpson

Born in Glasgow, Ryan played through the Glasgow youth soccer system from the age of 6.  He was a member of  the Glasgow High School Class A State Soccer Championship team in 2002 and was also a member of the Kentucky Olympic Development team.  Ryan became the first soccer player from Glasgow to play for a Division 1 team when he signed to play WKU, where he played as a goalkeeper for three seasons.  He is currently pursuing degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics at Western.  He is an assistant coach for the Glasgow High School boys soccer team and is also the head coach for the SKY u11 boys select team.  He currently holds a USSF "D" license.

 Lora Garrett

(Club Coach)

 

 

Lora began coaching recreational soccer as her three children progressed through the Glasgow youth soccer program. She coached soccer in various capacities for eight years before she became the head coach for the Glasgow Lady Scotties in 2005. Lora is a NBCT mathematics instructor at Glasgow High School and is also the coach of the swim team.  Currently, Lora holds her USSF "E" coaching license. Lora is very excited about the new soccer complex and is looking forward to working with the kids of our community through the Barren River Soccer Association.

Daniel McCarley

(Club Coach)

 

Born and raised in Russellville Kentucky, Daniel started playing soccer at the age of seven.  Daniel played for Russelville high school and the SOKY soccer club in Bowling Green.   After graduating, Daniel went on to play his college ball from 99-02 at Ohio Valley University.  Daniel is currently in his second season as the head coach for the Glasgow High School boys soccer team.  Daniel is employed by Columbia Avenue Church of Christ as their youth minister.  He currently holds a USSF "E" coaching license and is looking forward to raising the level of play in our area through the Barren River Soccer Club.
