Keltic Classic Thanks
Hello BRSC,
I would like to thank all the volunteers who put in hours and hours
yesterday and beforehand to make the first BRSC Keltic Fest Tourney such as
success. Kudos to all the parents and the Glasgow/Barren County High School
soccer players who showed up to help. We had high school kids stepping up
to help as side line judges, carrying water, giving encouragement to the
players and anything we asked. The GLasgow High School Junior Guard helped
park cars...and we had parents going above and beyond their duties serving
as registrars, field judges, referees, etc. Also special thanks to Mike
Miller for hanging with us all day to help with the various scrapes and
strain muscles and the Barren Metcalfe EMTS who were on hand all day.
We received an unbelieveable amount of positive comments from the parents,
coaches and players who attended. Given the hot weather and rain, it was a
great day of soccer!
A special thanks to Ryan and Candice for all the hard work behind the scenes
and in front - They both put a lot of time into making this a great event
for everyone. We learned along the way and I'm confident next year's event
will be even better.
